QSC President Sends - This is a zero-tolerance policy.
USMC Ranges cannot be used by members or their guests for any private endeavor, as part of a business or business-like operation or for compensation or profit, etc., etc. This is a DOD policy that is part of our QSC operating agreements with the Department of the Navy.
We're seeing evidence of members "teaching" firearms courses off the base that then include practical application phases using USMC ranges. The member brings the "students" as a guests and uses a rec fire range. I am not a lawyer but I will make this as clear as I possibly can, if you engage in any such, or related, activity, I will vacate your membership with immediacy. I will not parse words with you, engage in any discussions or listen to any contrived justification about what you're up to, I will simply ban you.
One of my primary duties is to preserve the reputation of the Club and our Department of the Navy and USMC hosts. I take that responsibility with the utmost seriousness and will act accordingly.
John - I think you should also post this on the home page in bold red letters.
I intend to include warning of this at Range 4 In brief and recommend same is done by RSO's at Rg1, Iron Man and SAT. Full Stop.
