QSC operates a number of ranges for rifle, pistol, shotgun and black powder. Each range has it's own identity, following and pace as recreational fire and precision fire have differing requirements. QSC attempts to open at least one Recreational Fire range each weekend as these are the most popular with the members. Other ranges are also manned and opened by RSOs. Simply put, recreational fire includes all weapons (rifle, pistol, shotgun and black powder) at varying ranges (based on caliber and targets used) while precision fire is a more structured regiment for items such as NRA / CMP match practice or long-range precision shooting. We try and segregate the two disciplines as the course of fire and pace of the range differ greatly. 

Range 1 - Recreational Fire - Rifle, pistol, shotgun and black powder from 7 yards to 300 meters. The range goes hot and cold about every 30 minutes for target checks and for people to arrive / depart.

Range 2 & 3 - Precision / Structured Fire for NRA, CMP, etc., match practice - Rifles from 100 to 600 yards in structured courses of fire with no deviations.

Range 4 - Precision Fire - Rifles from 300 yards to 1,000 yards. Range 4 has a defined pace: show up at 0715 to place targets, pits close at 0745 for first shot at 0800. R4 may not go cold for target checks for 2hrs, so if you're late to the 0745 pit time, you will wait. R4 will usually shoot shorter ranges on a Saturday, for example, 300 and 600 yards, and 1,000 on a Sunday. The course of fire is determined by the RSO with occasional 100 yard sessions so people can check zero (before hunting season or a new shooting season's start). R4 does not hold regular 100 yard sessions as R1 and R305 are available for load tweaking, velocity checks, confirming zero, etc..  

Range 305 - Recreational Fire - Rifle, pistol, shotgun and black powder from 7 yards to 450 yards. The range goes hot and cold about every 30 minutes for target checks and for people to arrive / depart.

Shotgun - Recreation and Match Fire - Shotguns on one of five fields (International Trap, American Trap, and Skeet) (not tactical shotgun, those go to R1 or R305).
