Range Opens: Report to Gate 7 off Willis Road at 0715 - Gate closes 0755 – This is earlier than normal because of Range 3 training.
Course of Fire: This is a 1,000 yard only day. Range 3 has a military unit on it shooting “Tables” so be flexible and expect delays as we have to mirror their shooting schedule.
Steel & all target frames: Set up time is 0715-0755 and 1200-1215 only. Tear down 1200-1215 and 1500 only and further subject to Range 3 schedule. NOTE: If military is not hot before we open Range 4, you can get steel and birds up on the berms. If they are hot: you may or may not get steel and birds up on berms and it becomes a Known Distance target day. We cannot stop / delay military training - we will attempt to coordinate breaks with Range 3 to check targets and / or put up / take down targets - if the R3 unit trains without breaks (to try and get off the range early), it becomes a challenging day.
Shooters: All Shooters come prepared for quick target set up; come late you wait. No vehicles on any grass, keep on roads. Targets / stands, hydration and food - bring yours-- none provided.
Membership cards will be inspected to ensure you are a current club member (liability and safety).
Parking: With the base’s fiber line upgrades along the 1,000 yard line, we can no longer park or drive in that area (you’ll get stuck in the mud). Park in the small lot across the road from 1000 yd line.
Contact: Call or text John Monaccio if you have questions: 540.220.3000.
Schedule: As a unit is on Range 3, we can only coordinate / ask for cold times that mirror their training schedule. We cannot affect military training, which means we could have delays checking targets and a long shooting day if the R3 unit plans to shoot past 1500hrs. Be flexible and we’ll do our best to ensure all have a great shooting day.
