Rec Fire – Range 4 – 300 &600 Yards:

NOTE – Medic is not available until 0900 so no Hot Time (rounds out) before the medic is available.

Range Opens: Report to Gate 7 off Willis Road as early as 0715. Gate closes at 0830 but could CHANGE if R3 is HOT. Range Safety Brief will be issued on the 300 yard line at 0845.  We will go Hot immediately following the arrival of the Medic. 

Course of Fire: This is a 300 / 600 yard day.  Range 3 may be occupied so be flexible and expect delays as we coordinate firing with their shooting schedule.

Steel & all Target Frames: Bring your own targets or steel, or use the Club’s KD frames – no targets provided and do not expect to shoot another shooter’s targets. Set up time is 0715-0845 and 1200-1215 only. Tear down 1200-1215 and 1500 only and further subject to Range 3 schedule. If you come mid-morning or mid-afternoon you will have to wait for a pause before proceeding.

Shooters:  All shooters remain flexible. No vehicles on any grass, keep on roads. Targets / stands, hydration, bug spray and food - bring yours-- none provided.  YOU MUST wear ear plugs and ear muffs and have eye protection per USMC base regulations.

New Shooters:  We'll try and make it easy for you to have success.  

Membership cards: Will be inspected to ensure you are a current club member (liability and safety).

Parking: On roads only.  

RSO's: Monaccio and Laughlin.

Heat Injury is a risk: Hydrate, dress correctly, take precautions and bring lots of water.

Tentative timeline:

0715-0830 – Target setup time

0845 – Safety Brief on the 300 yard line

0900-1000 – 300 yard shooting

1000-1015 – Check / Paste targets

1015 – 1100 – 300 yard shooting

1100 - 1115 – Check / Paste targets

1115-1200 – Complete 300 yard shooting

1200-1215 – Target setup, teardown, scoring and pasting and movement to 600 yard line

1230-1500 – 600 yard shooting (breaks as necessary for target check / pasting)

1500 – Rounds Complete
