Range will be open from 0800 to 1400. Target set up starts at approx. 0715. Safety Briefing on the Firing Line at 0745 and we will go Hot immediately following. Shooters want to shoot so don't be late!!! We will not hold up range for you...
We will try to maintain a cycle of 45/15 minute hot/cold times. Please show up before 1300 if you would like to shoot.
Shooters must bring their own targets, target stands, tools, fasteners, personal protective equipment, and other materials.
Targets are limited to paper, wood, plastic, and approved ballistic steel.
Ballistic steel targets must be a minimum of 3/8" thick and constructed of AR-500 steel. Soft steel is not allowed.
STEEL TARGETS:
Minimum engagement distances for portable ballistic steel targets: NOTE: I've increased a few here for additional safety
Pistol: 15 yards
Shotgun (pellets): 15 yards
Shotgun (slugs): 75 yards
Rifle caliber 7.62: 110 yards
Rifle caliber .300WM 320 yards
Non-metal pistol targets placed closer than 25 yards must be as tall as the shooter. Targets must not exceed the height of the impact area when viewed from your intended shooting position on the firing line. Steel target stands will NOT be allowed closer than 110 yards.
Setup is as follows on the half left of the range:
0-100 yards: left one third of shootable range
100-300 yards: center third of shootable range
300+ yards: right side of shootable range.
RSOs will set up firing line and provide demarcation of left/right limits.
Cross-shooting: Shooters are responsible for ensuring their stands are not in the line of sight of other targets. Know what is up range and down range of your target. The RSOs will check for this and lost range time will result if an issue is discovered.
Tents are fine but tent 'sides' are not. If RSOs can't glance down and see the whole firing line, that creates a safety issue.
Prior to going hot, vehicles are ok near firing line setup. Once setup, all vehicles are to be removed from immediate area of firing line.
We don't go hot until this condition is meet...
Please present your current QSC membership card upon sign in. All guests must check in at the QSC Clubhouse and pay guest fee and sign waivers prior to shooting. Masks will be required for safety brief.
ALL target material must be removed from range after rec fire. Please pick up your own brass and trash. Brass buckets may be available.
Pack it in. Pack it out.
RSOs: Hart / Moons / Martinez
