Range 1 Rec Fire

Welcome to Range 1 General Purpose Rec Fire - 7 yds to 320 yds

NOTE - We will have .22 rimfire "Know You Limits" Targets available for air rifle and .22cal shooters to try. No .17HMR or .22Mag, just pellets or .22short & .22LR.

Range will be open from 0800 to 1400.  Target set up starts at approx. 0730.  Safety Briefing on the Firing Line at 0800 and we will go Hot immediately following the arrival of the EMT.

NOTE: Range 1 is covered and only 14 people can use the covered range to maintain social distance. We anticipate 40-60 shooters and if so, we will move the firing line forward into the grass area to accommodate. Please prepare accordingly.

We will try to maintain a cycle of 30 minutes Hot and 15 minute Cold, but will adjust as needed. If you arrive late, please be prepared to place you targets as soon as we go cold - we will not wait for you to put together elaborate target systems. Last projected target placement will be 1330.

Shooters must bring their own targets, target stands, tools, fasteners, personal protective equipment, and other materials.

Targets are limited to paper, wood, plastic, and approved ballistic steel.

Ballistic steel targets must be a minimum of 3/8" thick and constructed of AR-500 steel.  Soft steel is not allowed.

STEEL TARGETS:

Minimum engagement distances for portable ballistic steel targets:

Pistol:                             10 yards

Shotgun (pellets):           10 yards

Shotgun (slugs):             55 yards

Rifle caliber 7.62:           110 yards

Rifle caliber .300WM     320 yards

Non-metal pistol targets placed closer than 25 yards must be as tall as the shooter.  Targets must not exceed the height of the impact area when viewed from your intended shooting position on the firing line.

Shooters intending to shoot > 110 yards should setup to the right side of the range.  Pistol, shotgun, and short range (≤ 110 yard) shooters should setup to the left side of the range.  RSOs may direct that shooters occupy positions outside of and forward of the Shooting House depending on the number of shooters.

Please present your current QSC membership card upon sign in.  All guests must check in at the QSC Clubhouse and pay guest fee and sign waivers prior to shooting.

ALL target material must be removed from range after rec fire. Please pick up your own brass and trash.  Brass buckets will be available.  Pack it in. Pack it out.
