In part due to the impact of the Coronavirus on the USMC MCBQ RSO Training and Documentation process it has been possible for DoD CAC holders to register for a MarineNet account on their own. Having opened a MarineNet account DoD CAC holders may enroll in the USMC Basic Range Safety Course and take the proctored exam remotely. Following successful completion of the Range Safety course DoD CAC holders may enroll in the MilSuite hosted MCBQ OIC/RSO Briefing online. When complete with both the MarineNet and MilSuite courses candidates will be able to download Certificates of Completion in PDF format. Both MCBQ Range Control and QSC will require copies of these certificates to ensure that RSO personnel are properly entered into the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) used by the Fires Desk when Ranges are opened.
If you did not provide Certificates of Completion to the QSC CRSO you will not get documented into the QSC RSO Database. We value our volunteer RSOs so please ensure that we receive PDFs of your certificates.
Similarly, if you completed the MCBQ OIC/RSO In-Person Brief and do not inform the QSC CRSO we will not have knowledge of your training status and again not fully documented into the QSC RSO Database.
Thanks again for volunteering to become a RSO and supporting the membership.
