Exchange Guidelines:
While the QSC provides these forums for member use and restricts access, they can be seen by non-members. Please ensure you know who you are dealing with as all transactions are between private parties. Quantico Shooting Club takes no responsibility for the validity of any postings, contact between parties, or subsequent buy, sell or trade transaction, etc.
- Buyer and sellers should always exercise due caution before committing to a transaction, and certainly before any monies are exchanged
- Make sure you know who you're dealing with and you trust them. A face-to-face transaction offers a high level of confidence for success
- Avoid using PayPal Friends & Family in your purchases, this is an extremely common scammer tactic. While it saves you the 3.5% fee, it could cost you all you monies as F&F has no safeguards
- Direct transfers, such as Venmo or Zelle, are difficult or impossible to seek refunds - You must know who you are dealing with before transferring funds
- Stay aware of common scams; they change frequently
All sales must comply with all State & Federal Laws regarding the item listed. It is the responsibility of the member listing their items to ensure they fully understand the laws in regards to the sale of their items. Each listing must fully lay out the applicable laws in writing when necessary to purchase restrictive items such as Class III items. Virginia requires all firearms transactions go through an FFL.
QSC is not responsible for monitoring your transactions. We do not participate in transaction negotiations or vet potential for buyers or sellers.
You must post a price in your ad to sell; any ads posted without prices or as a Make an Offer will be removed unless the item is offered for Free.
Members are allowed to decline a transaction without penalty. No reason is required for refusal of payment or transfer of an item. If the parties involved cannot agree on the terms of purchase, or the sale seems suspicious, there is no requirement to complete the transaction.
Users of the forums and the Exchange use at their own risk. Any disputes or fraudulent transactions may result in one or both members being removed.
QSC cooperates with any and all requests from Law Enforcement without hesitation.
If you are selling an item, you must be the owner. You are not allowed to make a sale on behalf of someone else; 3rd party sales can be scams or introduce issues between multiple parties than cannot be easily rectified. The exception are Estate Sales, which require Board approval and must have a QSC member as a sponsor for the sale.
QSC is not responsible for any bad sales / deals and any user found selling for another person will have their membership revoked.
Do not post anything unnecessary or harmful on another person's ad. For example, do mention that you were able to get your item cheaper or that you “think” their item may be fake or faulty.
If you identify an item that is a fake or cloned, report the ad to the Staff.
Buyer and Seller should remain in contact throughout the purchase process. For example, the seller should be notified when the payment is sent and the seller should inform the buyer when the item is being sent.
