Shooting a Rifle in the range for the first time

Good evening,

I join the club few weeks ago, and I attended the membership meeting too.

I have a Browning Bar II Safari Rifle caliber 30-06.  It was a great gift from a friend, but I haven't had the opportunity to shoot it.

What range is the most indicated to shoot the rifle for the first time?  Keeping in mind that I had a new scope mount it on the rifle.

Any recommendation or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Joe.

Range 1 or 305

Welcome to the club Joe,

Nice rifle! Range 1 would probably be the best place to start if you need to zero the scope. Range 305 will also work for zeroing but there is no impact berm and spotting misses may be difficult if you have trouble getting on paper. If you have any other questions about the ranges or what gear to bring the first time out post them here or give me a call at 703-929-7439.

Chris

Range 1

Range 1 is open this Thursday for WTBN rec fire from 1200-1400 if you can make it. Steve Mullins and Dave Dix usually open that range for WTBN rec fire and can help you zero your rifle.
