Competition open: NRA approved Service Rifles, Match rifles

 

Entry Fee:      May 26 NRA approved long range match: $40.00     ($20.00 for Jr.’s)

                        May 26 NRA long range team match: $50.00 per team

May 27 NRA Regional Championships: $50.00        ($20.00 for Jr.’s)

May 28 NRA Team match: $50.00 per team  

May 28 CMP ITT match: $30.00 per team

May 28 CMP EIC Match: $10.00 per person

 

Registration:  Preregistration is mandatory along with additional mandatory QSC and Marine Corps Base paperwork.  Payment to be made during check-in at 0600-0700 at Quantico Shooting Club.  Preregistration must be made no later than April 25th.  Those with Military/Gov’t ID and who have already been vetted register by May 20th. Quantico Shooting Club match rules: All shooters are required to perform scoring and pit duties unless pit pullers are arranged. Empty chamber indicator (ECI) use is required. NRA Rule 3.21 & 18.12 Physically disabled shooters can request their needs on the registration form. NRA High Power rules will apply: NRA Classification will be used. Contact for additional information: Dan Duitsman: drduitsman@gmail.com Phone (760)-213-8639 General Information: Water will be provided for the pits and the line, however it is strongly encouraged that you bring your own water.  Portable sanitation units are stationed at the pits, 300, 600, and 1000 yard lines. 

 

Rules:             It is important that rifles / especially rifle chambers are clean and in good working condition so as to minimize the possibility of malfunctions or difficult cartridge extractions (often caused by dirty chambers).   Stoppages due to dirty rifle / chamber will not be an acceptable cause for an alibi.  Service rifle and NRA Match Rifle as defined in the NRA High Power Rule Book; The NRA High Power Rule Book will govern the NRA individual and team competition. The CMP rules will govern the EIC and ITT competition.

 

Equipment:    Each competitor will furnish his/her own equipment, ammunition, and shall be responsible for its safekeeping.

 Eye and ear protection required by all competitors on the ready line and ear protection for all people on the range.   

Empty Chamber Indicator flags are required at all times except when on the firing line. Limited number of chamber flags available at clubhouse for $2.00.

 

Match Time: All competitors must attend the safety brief on the 200 yd line or in the pits at 0730. Failure to attend the safety brief will disqualify you for that competition. Relay 1 will commence firing at 0800.

 

Course of Fire: Long Range- Individual:

Match 1: 1000 yds, 20 shots for record with unlimited sighters in 30 minutes;

Match 2: 1000 yds, 20 shots for record with unlimited sighters in 30 minutes;

                                 Long Range-Team

Match 3: 1000 yds, 20 shots for record per team member with 2 sighters in a block time of 129 minutes; Teams may pair fire or single stage fire. 

Individual Competition:

Match 4: Standing, 200 yds, 20 shots for record with 2 sighters in 22 minutes;

Match 5: Sitting to Sitting or Kneeling to Kneeling, 200 yds, 2 sighters in two minutes and 2 stages of 10 shots for record in 60 seconds, Alibis will be fired during the Scoring/Challenge time;

Match 6: Prone to prone, 300 yds, 2 sighters in two minutes and 2 stages of 10 shots for record in 70 seconds, Alibis will be fired during the Scoring/Challenge time;

Match 7: Prone, 600 yds, 20 shots for record with 2 sighters in 22 minutes;

Match 8: Aggregate Of Matches 4,5,6, and 7

NRA Team Match 9 Competition: Four person teams, pair firing is optional

Stage 1: Standing, 200 yds, 10 shots for record per team members with 2 sighters in 57 minutes team block time;

Stage 2: Sitting to Sitting or Kneeling to Kneeling, 200 yds, 2 Sighters, 1 stage of 10 shots for record in 60 Seconds per team member, Alibis if rated will be fired during the Scoring/ Challenge time. 

 Stage 3: Prone to prone, 300 yds , 2 Sighters, 1 stage of 10 shots for record per team member in 70 seconds, Alibis if rated will be fired during the scoring/challenge time;

Stage 4 Prone, 600 yds, 20 shots for record per team member with NO sighters in 89 minutes team block time;

Team Match: Aggregate of Stages 1, 2, 3, and 4 

Infantry Team Trophy:  In accordance with CMP rules.

 

Challenges:    Scoring will be on the firing point by a competitor. A challenge fee of $3.00 will be charged for each challenge. If the score is corrected the challenge fee will be returned. If the score stands (not corrected) the challenge fee is forfeited.
