Course of Fire

RANGE NOTES - Precision Rifle Fire at Varying Distances on Range 4.

Check calendar immediately prior to your home departure for any last minute changes from Range Control (Semper Gumby!).

0715: \\\\\ TARGET SET UP \\\\\.  Line up outside Gate 7 along Willis Rd (straight-away prior to bend for SAT Range & Ironman).  Wraps up by 0740 (no exceptions).

0745: SAFETY BRIEF.  At the 100 yard line.

0800-0830: LIVE FIRE “ZERO” CONFIRMATION.  Thirty minutes (no mas!). Only paper targets from this distance unless shooting 22LR. This is not intended for a brand new firearm or scope that’s never been shot or even bore sighted.

0830-0845: REPOSITION.  Optional - Case up and push back to 300 yard line. It will be OIC’s call to allow anyone downrange to adjust targets (don’t expect to).

0845-0930: LIVE FIRE @ 300YDS (OPTIONAL).  Steel-engagement with lesser calibers (5.56, 308, 7.62).  Continued paper target engagement for magnum calibers.

0930-1000: \\\\\ TARGET ADJUSTMENT & REPOSITION \\\\\. Target set up for late arrivals, adjustment & repaint for existing ones.  Push back to… 500/600/700yds(?).

1000-1045: LIVE FIRE @ _____YDS. Steel-engagement for lesser calibers plus 6.5CM, 300WM, 50BMG.

1045-1115: \\\\ TARGET ADJUSTMENT & REPOSITION \\\\\.  Same as previous.  Push back to 1000yds.

1115-1200: LIVE FIRE @1000YDS.
