SCHEDULE

• 0700 – Range opens / setup begins / meet at Gate 7 on Willis Rd
• 0745 – Gate 7 closes / range safety brief on the 1000-yard line.
• 0800 – Live-fire begins
• 0940 – Only cold time to setup, repair, or take down targets
• 1000 – Final live-fire session begins
• 1140 – Live-fire ends
• 1200 – Range clear of all personnel

Get here Early. It is strongly suggested that anyone wishing to set up during the break at 0940 be here and ready to go no later than 0930. Weather is a factor and may result in changes to this schedule. Rain, extreme heat, and so on can result in a shortened range day.

This is a 1000-yard shooting day only.  If firing a .338 caliber, understand you may be refused if the airspace cannot be cleared. We will only know if it is approved at the time we set up. Be prepared and bring an alternate caliber/rifle if possible.  

RANGE 4 PRECISION RIFLE SPECIFICS

• Welcome - Members with capable equipment and a desire to learn or improve their precision rifle marksmanship. 
• All Shooters come prepared for quick target setup. Vehicles may not drive on the range or onto the berm.

• Setup is 0700 – 0745 and a second time again around 0945.
• Paper targets / clay pigeons placed in the berm in lanes 1-20.
• Lanes 20-29 are reserved for special targets and RSOs who spot for those challenges. (i.e., Milk Jug Challenge)
• Steel Targets are set at Lanes 30-41 only. Have your steel target sorted out for quick install / take down.
• Parking at 1000 yds permitted on the hill behind the 1000-yard line.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Per QSC rules and the intended course of fire for this range, children under the age of 18 are not permitted.

Required

• Empty Chamber Indicators (ECIs) are required in all firearms, with no exceptions, and may be purchased at the clubhouse.
• Eye and ear protection must be provided by each shooter and is required for everyone on the range when the range is in a hot status.
• Bring your own targets, stands, tools, fasteners, and other needed materials. Targets are limited to paper, wood, plastic, and approved ballistic steel (more details below).

Prohibited

• Automatic fire
• Binary/forced-reset triggers, bump stocks, or simulated automatic fire
• Tracer, incendiary, or API ammunition
• .375/.416 CheyTac and similar boutique calibers
• Dueling trees, Texas Stars, or similar targets
• Shooting drills
• Trash, brass, or ammunition in Port-a-Johns

Form 1 and Form 4 firearms are permitted.

ARRIVAL AND HANDLING OF FIREARMS

Cased firearms may be brought to the firing line during setup but must remain cased until the safety brief is complete and the line is declared hot. Late arrivals must sign in and receive an RSO safety brief before bringing gear forward.

Firearms not being used must remain cased. Any uncased firearm not being fired must have the action open, magazine/ammunition removed, safety on, and ECI inserted. Do not handle uncased firearms while the line is cold.

Be prepared to case all firearms at the final cease fire. Firearms needing cooling time should be cooled before 1140.

STEEL TARGETS

Steel must be at least 3/8-inch AR500, angled toward the ground, free of excessive pitting or holes, and approved by an RSO.

Cleanup

Remove all targets, trash, and shell casings before leaving and police your brass.
