Range Opens: Report to Gate 7 off Willis Road at 0715. Gate closes 0745. Range Safety Brief will be issued on the 100 yard line at 0750. We will go Hot immediately following. 0800 to 0900 (max), we confirm zero at 100 yds, 0900 we move to 300 yd line, 1100 we move to 600 yd line. If interest exists we move to 800 yd line at 1300 hrs or close down the range at 1300 hrs. If you have a 100 yd zero , we can get you zero'd at 300 and 600 yds easily if your rifle and ammo is correct. Call Skip if you have questions on this.
Course of Fire: This is a 100, 300, 600 yard shooting day only. Range 3 may be occupied so be flexible and expect delays as we coordinate firing with their shooting schedule. We will begin at 100 yard line for zero fire...not stay there for Range 1 type Recreation Firing. We will stay at 100 yd line no more than 1 hour and promptly move to 300 yd line. If your objective is more than zero'ing your rifle at 100 yds, that is a Range 1 or Range 305 activity. Todays shooting is a logical progression to Sundays 800 /1000 yd day. This is an opportunity to get your dope set for 100, 300 and 600 and set conditions for success to move back to 800 /1000 yds. Rg 4 is the 1000 yd range, the long distance range, if shooting distance is not your objective, there are other ranges to satisfy your objectives.
Steel & all target frames: Set up time is 0715 to 0745 ONLY . Tear down as time permits and further subject to Range 3 schedule. Don't come expect us to stop the range so you can set up, we come on time so you come on time at 0715 . Big Boy Rules here. Steel Targets set at target points 25-50 only. Steel Targets: have your frame perfected before coming to range.
Shooters: All Shooters come prepared for quick target set up; come late and we will not stop to set up your targets whenever you show up. This is not Range 1. No vehicles on any grass, keep on roads. Targets, hydration and food - bring yours-- none provided. We do have KD frames for you to attach your paper targets...ask RSO in pits for a frame. YOU MUST Wear ear plugs and ear muffs and have eye protection per USMC base regulations.
