General Information: The M1A match was developed to celebrate the M14 Service Rifle and to test the marksman’s ability with a fun and challenging course of fire. The M1A match is similar to the GSM match in that any safe functional rifle can be used. National Match modified rifles are allowed and “As issued” rifles will compete in the same class. This course of fire is designed so that both new and experienced shooters can compete. To be clear, many types of service rifles (bolt-action or semi-auto) that any country would have used for the armed forces can be fired in this match. Match will require competitors to fire in the prone, sitting, and standing positions at a target 300 yards.
