QUANTICO SHOOTING CLUB MATCH (XTC FORMAT)

LOCATION:         US Marine Corps Base, Calvin A. Lloyd Range, RANGE 4

                            Weapons Training Battalion, Quantico, Va.

WHEN:                Sept, 9, 2023

RIFLE:                

You can shoot any rifle (civilian or military) in 30-06 cal. or below. You can use scopes on the rifles. If they are military, they must comply with the CMP rule book (max power – 4.5X). Civilian rifles do not have a limit on magnification.

COURSE OF FIRE:

The course of fire will be: 10 shots – slow fire standing; 10 shots sitting – rapid fire, 10 shots prone – rapid fire and 20 shots prone – slow fire. All firing will be at the 200 yd. line.

REGISTRATION: 

Registration will be on the 200 yd. line of range 3. Check-in is 0700 – 0800. Squadding and Safety Brief will be at 0830. Firing will begin at 0900.

PARKING:             

Parking will be in the Weapons Training Battalion parking lot near the flag pole. You will not be permitted to drive down range to unload your equipment. We must keep the range area clear for emergency vehicles.

CLASSIFICATION: 

NONE We will group similar rifles into groups for general competition.

ENTRY FEE:        

There will be a $10.00 entry fee for all shooters. Non-club members will pay a $10.00 guest fee also.

Rules:                 

The competition will generally follow the CMP high power rules.

FIRING TIME:     

All competitors must attend the SAFETY BRIEF on the firing line at 0830. Relay 1 will commence firing at 0900.

AWARDS:           

Experience in shooting a competition format and meeting fellow shooters.
