Range 4, 800 to 1000 yd Shooting Day Only
0800 to 1000 at 800 yard, remainder of day at 1000 yards until completion.
** We are back to good weather and lots of Range 3 and Competition Pistol range use by military. That means impact on Range 4 operations due to safety considerations of surfaced danger zones of those two ranges. We've worked through that in the past but NOTE...we may have delays entering the pits and erecting / tearing down targets. We always get to shoot but we do have to adapt...military training has priority so we live with the impact of that .
This Sunday we shoot only 800 to 1000 yards. Report to Range safety officers as soon as you enter the range for other instructions. We may have changes so be flexible and we'll have a great shooting day. KD Target Frame are available to members on the range now. Just come to pits and RSO will issue you a target frame to use.
Due to ammunition shortages we will close at 1300, earlier or later as the ammo runs out!!! Get here early when we open, don't assume 12 Noon, you roll up and we'll be shooting . In reality, we shoot until "completion".
Range Opens: Report to Gate 7 off Willis Road at 0715. Gate closes 0745. Range Safety Brief will be issued on the 800 yard line at 0750. We will go Hot immediately following.
Course of Fire: This is a 800/ 1000 yard shooting day only. Range 3 WILL be occupied so be flexible and expect delays as we coordinate firing with their shooting schedule.

Don't come mid morning and expect us to stop the range so you can set up, we come on time so you come on time . Big Boy Rules here. Steel Targets set at target points 25-50 only. Steel Targets: have your frame perfected before coming to range.
Shooters: All Shooters come prepared for quick target set up; come late you wait till next set up time (see above). No vehicles on any range grass, keep on roads. Targets, hydration and food - bring yours-- none provided. We do have KD frames for you to attach your paper targets...ask RSO in pits for a frame. New Long Range Shooters: If you have a solid 100 yd zero, a scope with enough elevation, we can get you onto targets at 1000 yds quickly and you will have a successful day shooting. You do need match grade ammo. Surplus or hunting ammo is a waste of time. 18 inch or 16 inch barrel rifles total bust at 1000 yds, save you ammo and time, go to Range 305.
