Range 4 Rec Fire: 100y & 600y.
Good opportunity to gather data and practice if you plan on shooting at the 1,000y line on Sunday.
Gate 7 will be open at 7:15a for initial target set up and close promptly at 7:45a.
Meet at the 100y line at 7:50a for the safety briefing, then once the EMT’s presence is confirmed we’ll got hot.
We’ll allow at least 1hr for zeroing and shooting at 100yd. Plan is then to move to 600yd, but if the majority wants we can shoot 1-2hr at an intermediate distance.
Targets:
Steel is allowed on Range 4 but only from 200y+. Steel CAN NOT be shot from the 100y line. Additionally, steel shooting with .300WM and up is limited to 300y+. We ask that steel is kept between points 25-50.
Paper targets can be set up on the berm or you can use a KD frame in the carriers in the pits.
Clay pigeons can be placed on the impact berm. NO STEEL TARGETS ON THE IMPACT BERM.
Parking and Driving:
The grass areas are saturated this time of year.
DO NOT drive or park on the grass when setting up targets on the berm.
For the 100y line park ONLY on the dirt road behind the line, please do not drive up to the line.
For the 600y line park on the dirt road to the left of the 600y line.
Target repair and take-down:
Initial set up is noted above
Take-down is approximately 12:00n and 3:00p
We’ll have periodic ~10min cease fires to check and repair targets.
