Range 4 - Long Range Rec-Fire

Shooters Note: This is a unique day , we will shoot to 1700.  We have a club meeting at 0800 and RSO's will not open Rg 4 to shoot till after that meeting. However we will set up targets as normal. Gate 7 : report 0715, Pits close 0740. Club Meeting 0800 to 1000, Assemble 600 yd line at 1015 for safety brief and commence shooting.

Impacts: Rg 3 may be hot.  Heat requires you to hydrate: bring water and sun screen. Take hot wx. precautions seriously.

Fire - Range 4,   We shoot 600 yds and then 1000 yds. Report to Range safety officers as soon as you enter the range for other instructions.  We  may have changes so be flexible and we'll have a great shooting day.  KD Target Frame: New Change. Available to members on the range now.  Just come to pits and RSO will issue you a target frame to use

Range Opens: Report to Gate 7 off Willis Road at 0715.  Gate closes 0740.  Club Meeting 0800 to 1000. Range Safety Brief will be issued on the 600 yard line at 1015.  We will go Hot immediately following.   

Course of Fire: This is a 600 &  1000 yard shooting day only.  Range 3 may be occupied so be flexible and expect delays as we coordinate firing with their shooting schedule.  Yes..1000 yd Milk Jug Challenge  target will be up for those wanting to take the challenge: Talk to RSO's when on 1000 yard line.  Entry Fee $8 first attempt, $5 second attempt. Third and follow on attempts no charge.  Bring exact cash.  Coveted 1000 yd Sticker issued only if you hit the target.  5 Shots ...if not successful, come back next week. No practice shots allowed on target. 

Steel & all target frames: Set up time is 0715-0740 and 1400 only (we mean it).   and further subject to Range 3 schedule.  Don't come mid morning or mid afternoon and expect us to stop the range so you can set up, we come on time so you come on time .  Big Boy Rules here.  Steel Targets set at target points 25-50 only.  Steel Targets:  have your frame perfected before coming to range. 

Shooters:  All Shooters come prepared for quick target set up; come late you wait till next set up time (see above). No vehicles on any grass, keep on roads. Targets, hydration and food - bring yours-- none provided.  We do have KD frames for you to attach your paper targets...ask RSO in pits for a frame.  YOU MUST Wear ear plugs and ear muffs and have eye protection per USMC base regulations.

Membership cards will be inspected to ensure you are a current club member (liability and safety). Membership cards that have expired can be renewed at club house.   

Parking:   Parking at 600 yd line and 1000 yds is  across street  from 1000 yd line in parking lot.
