D-Day Anniversary – 6 June 2020 – Range 4
Range Opens: Report to Gate 7 off Willis Road at 0715. Gate closes 0745. Range Safety Brief will be issued on the 100 yard line at 0800. We will go Hot immediately following.
Course of Fire: This is a 100 – 300 – 600 yard shooting day.
- 0800 to 1000: Time on the 100 yard line is to permit shooters to obtain or adjust zero of sights and scopes. Steel targets may not be engaged from the 100 yard line per MCBQ Range SOP. Plan on moving to the 300 yard line before 1000 hours.
- 1000 to 1200: Time on 300 yard line to practice marksmanship and confirm DOPE.
- 1230 to 1500: Time on 600 yard line to practice marksmanship and confirm DOPE.
- Range 3 may be occupied so be flexible and expect delays as we coordinate firing with their shooting schedule.
Steel & all target frames: Set up time is 0715-0745 and 1200-1215 only. Tear down 1200-1215 and 1500 only and further subject to Range 3 schedule.
Shooters: All Shooters come prepared for quick target set up; come late you wait. No vehicles on any grass, keep on roads. Targets / stands, hydration and food - bring yours-- none provided. YOU MUST Wear ear plugs and ear muffs and have eye protection per USMC base regulations. One shooter to each firing point, max 25 shooters on firing line total, max 50 people on range ..firing lines and behind.
Membership cards will be inspected to ensure you are a current club member (liability and safety). Club house will be open at 0800 to renew memberships.
