Quantico Shooting Club -Long Range Fun Match

800/900/1000 yards.

All rifles calibers that are allowed on R4 are allowed in this match. This includes .50 cal. Any equipment is allowed, but must be carried/carted to the yard lines (no vehicle drop off). Any rifle configuration is allowed; muzzle brakes, rear bags, bipods.

Register online - QSC website. Registration closes at 1900 on Thursday 11/15. If you do not register, you cannot be guaranteed a target. 

There will be no driving of vehicles on the range and no gear drop off at the 600yd road or 800yd lines. All first relay shooters will park at the 1000 yard area and walk down with gear. Please contact scirvan@gmail.com for accommodating any disabilities. 

Pit pullers will not be provided. All shooters must identify a partner prior to the day of the match. That pair will alternate shooting and pit service duties. You will be shooting, while your pre-arranged partner is pulling and scoring your target. You can also coordinate with a non-shooter prior to the match if you know someone who wants to pull your target (must be at least 8 yrs old and capable of operating the KD carriage). If you are a new shooter/club member and do not know a fellow long range shooter, please contact scirvan@gmail.com and we will work with you to find a partner. If you have not planned for a puller prior to the day of the match, you cannot be guaranteed a partner.

Check in 0700 QSC Clubhouse – Shooting starts at 0830. All participants (shooters and pullers) should be parked at 1000 yards by 0800. Safety brief will be at 0815 at the 1000yd line.

Any shooters who do not want to participate in the match can shoot clays or KDs. There will be a very limited opportunity for non-match KD target repair for any shooter not participating in the match. (during pit relay swap out only) No targets or camera systems will be set up on the front berm. Any participant not present at the 0815 safety brief will not be allowed to shoot.

You can shoot unlimited sighters – during the 30 minutes of allotted time at each yard line.  

800 – 15 consecutive rounds for record in 30 minutes

900 – 15 consecutive rounds for record in 30 minutes

1000 – 20 consecutive rounds for record in 30 minutes

Targets will have F-Class faces.

Free for club members, guests pay $20 -payment will be collected the morning of the match.  

Scores will be promptly emailed out all registered participants (should be emailed out the evening of the match). You will have the option for your score to be anonymously distributed if you prefer for your name not to be listed. All scores that are sent out will have the shooter’s cartridge listed and whether that was a morning or afternoon relay -so that you can compare like for like results.
