Quantico Shooting Club (QSC) is a 501C Not-for-Profit corporation operating as a Tenant organization on Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia . The basis for our approved operation as a Tenant organization on Quantico MCB is a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Marine Corps Base Quantico (MCBQ) and the QSC. Due to our 501C Not-for-Profit status all contributions to the club monetary or otherwise, including the annual Dues, are not tax-deductible.
Our Club exists to:
Promote marksmanship among Marines, military members and their families, Club members, eligible and potential members, and authorized guests/shooters. Disseminate small arms firing techniques and marksmanship training methods. Encourage small arms competition among Marines, other military organizations, and civilian competitors in cooperation with the Virginia Shooting Sports Association, USA Shooting, The National Rifle Association of America (NRA), and the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). Advance competitive shooting programs among Marines and U.S. citizens, contributing to national defense and public safety.
Encourage and ensure safe small arms handling and storage practices and good sportsmanship.
The Club is managed by a five (5) position Board of Directors elected by the Club membership on an annual basis. Membership in the organization consists of military, retired military, Dept. of Defense (DoD) civilians, retired DoD civilians, and non-military affiliated civilians in limited numbers. The organization is regulated by DoD, USMC and MCBQ regulations requiring specific membership, management and financial controls. We operate under the auspices of MCBQ Marine Corps Community Services, and perform a support function in affiliation with the MCBQ Weapons Training Battalion (WTBN) for shooting matches and basic firearms training.
We offer several different disciplines for the shooting enthusiast. If you are a new shooter, we can assist you with instruction on the fundamentals. For the more experienced marksman, our club hosts rifle, pistol, and shotgun competitions and advanced marksmanship training. Like our Marine hosts, we are committed to Range Safety, marksmanship and excellence. However, please be aware that you must provide you own target, stand, weapon, and ammo.
The QSC is a private organization NOT affiliated with the Federal Government. It is not a part of the Department of Defense or any of its components and it has NO government status. However, we are located on the Quantico Marine Corps Base, therefore Federal Government and Military rules, regulations and laws apply.
